Our Story
We were inspired by something unexpected — a Chinese healing drama called Meet Yourself that promoted Yunnan's rural tourism. Watching it, we felt a spark: Vietnam has this same beauty, this same depth of culture. Why aren't we the ones sharing it?
Then our French friend Stéphane, who visits Vietnam three or four times a year, told us something we couldn't shake: "You are so lucky — your country is wonderful." Coming from someone who chose to keep returning, that meant everything. It was the catalyst.
On July 27, 2025, we took a train to Hue searching for traditional rường houses — the elegant wooden heritage homes of Central Vietnam. We spent three days in Hue, two in Hanoi, and then stopped in Hoi An on our way back to Ho Chi Minh City. That's where we found it: a traditional architectural house owned by Hanoi architects who share our love for heritage preservation.
Tre Hoi An Heritage Inspired Home was born — with a standard we hold ourselves to every day: Clean. Traditional. Culturally Authentic.
What Makes Us Different
We know what you might be thinking: every homestay in Hoi An claims to be "authentic." We hear it too. But here's what we actually mean by it:

And we do it sustainably. Tre Hoi An operates with a zero-carbon-footprint approach — green, sustainable tourism that respects both the culture and the environment. We believe protecting Vietnamese heritage means protecting the land it sits on.
Who We Are
We're young Vietnamese people who graduated in Tourism & Hospitality Management from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. We're not a big company with decades of experience — and we won't pretend to be.
What we have is something we think matters more: a deep, genuine love for Vietnamese culture and traditions. We started Tre Hoi An because we believe young Vietnamese people should be the ones actively protecting and promoting their national culture — and tourism is one of the most powerful ways to do that.
